The Stratford Art Fair is organised and hosted by The Friends of Stratford Girls’ Grammar School (FoS). FoS is a registered charity run by parent volunteers to support Stratford Girls’ Grammar School. Any funds raised from this exhibition will go towards improving the school facilities by supporting, among other things, the current building programme and helping to kit out new classrooms, dining hall and sports halls.
FoS are also supporting The Shakespeare Hospice through a minimum of a 10% donation from funds raised. Money will go towards supporting young people with life limiting illnesses and their families and carers, including transitional and bereavement care.
A look back at the 2016 Art Fair….
The 2016 Fair was, by any measure, a huge success. Over 1000 people visited the exhibition over the three days, helping to keep the town vibrant and buzzing. Artwork to the value of over £15,000 was sold, so our exhibitors were very pleased, too, and it has certainly caused some excitement in the local art community. On top of that, we raised over £3,500 for our causes, Stratford Girls Grammar School & The Shakespeare Hospice.
Thanks go to our team of volunteers who made it all happen, and huge thanks also to our main sponsors for last year’s event,
NFU Mutual, Minuteman Press, Vondel Professional Development, Grantcf, Ginger and Shuttlefish plus a special mention for Peter Clarke Estate Agents who donated the star prize in our raffle.
We all enjoyed it so much, we can’t wait to do it all over again. We hope to see you at this year’s Fair.
